About Us
Rooting Change for People, Wildlife, and the Planet
Conservation Root Uganda (CRU) is a registered non-profit organization dedicated to protecting wildlife, combating human trafficking, improving access to clean water and sanitation, and building climate resilience in communities across Uganda. Founded in 2024, CRU was established to respond to the urgent environmental and social challenges facing communities near national parks and vulnerable regions. Our work is guided by the belief that true conservation is only possible when people are empowered, justice is upheld, and sustainable livelihoods are within reach.
Our Vision
A world where collective action and innovation drive positive change and sustainable development.
Our Mission
To combat animal poaching and ivory trade, prosecute offenders, fight human trafficking, enhance economic empowerment, promote natural conservation, and strengthen climate resilience in Uganda.
