About Us

Conservation Root Uganda (CRU) is a non-profit organization committed to protecting wildlife, safeguarding human rights, improving water and sanitation, and building climate resilience across Uganda. We work directly with communities living near national parks and vulnerable regions — empowering women, youth, and local leaders through education, advocacy, and sustainable solutions.

From combating poaching and human trafficking to promoting clean water access and climate-smart farming, CRU unites people and partners to create lasting change. Our approach combines community empowerment, environmental stewardship, and justice for vulnerable groups, ensuring that progress is both sustainable and inclusive.
